León, Guanajuato, August 28, 2024 – Botanas y Derivados, S. A. de C. V. (BYDSA), a Xignux company, announced today the inauguration of Phase II of its BYDSA plant in León, with the addition of a new potato production line. In the presence of the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodrguez Vallejo, Juan Ignacio Garza Herrera, CEO of Xignux, indicated that this project has represented an investment of more than 28 million dollars in the facility. The new production line will use potatoes grown in Mexico, replacing imports from the United States, which reaffirms BYDSA’s commitment to the use of Mexican inputs, supporting the local agricultural economy. This initiative is part of BYDSA’s vision to continue growing and evolving to bring the flavor of its snacks to more corners of Mexico.
