Energizing health with the first edition of the Xignux race

On April 28th, we proudly celebrated the first edition of the Xignux Energize Life Race. This sporting event energized over a thousand runners and their families at Parque Fundidora. In an atmosphere of camaraderie and motivation, Xignux Energizers challenged themselves in the 1K, 5K, and 10K categories, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle for the whole family. Beyond the competition, the Xignux Energize Life Race provided a space for fun and family bonding. At the booths of our companies—Viakable, Prolec, Qualtia, and BYDSA—participants enjoyed engaging activities for all ages. Additionally, we reinforced our commitment to the planet by implementing measures to minimize the race’s environmental impact:

Recycled PET shirts: Participants received shirts made from recycled materials derived from plastic bottles.
MDF medals: The race medals were crafted from MDF, a biodegradable and sustainable material.
Eco-friendly hydration: Tetrapak water boxes were used to hydrate participants, reducing the use of disposable plastic bottles.
Eco-friendly kits: Biodegradable transparent bags were provided for race kits, along with kraft paper bags for recovery kits.

This vibrant sporting event also served as an excellent platform to encourage civic participation in voting, which is a cornerstone of building a better country. Erick Solheim and Wendy Saavedra joined us throughout the event, sharing messages of reflection on civic awareness.Moreover, we set up various photo stations by MeVeo to capture the best family moments. The first Xignux Energize Life Race was organized by the Labor Relations Department and the Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility Department.
