We are proud to share that Tiffany Lucas, Senior Materials Development Engineer in the Research and Development area in Waukesha, has been nominated in two important categories at the 2025 Empowering Women Awards: Engineer of the Year and Innovator of the Year.
Tiffany leads materials testing initiatives with passion and commitment, covering conductors, steel for cores, switchboards, epoxies, coatings, and corrosion prevention.
Her work in the laboratory ensures that electricity in the U.S. power grid keeps running, helping communities stay energized.
With an extensive career in new product development and laboratory testing, Tiffany has worked on projects ranging from electrical applications to motorcycles and kitchen faucets.
In addition to her technical expertise, she has been a university professor, teaching electron microscopy for microelectronic applications, and has conducted high-voltage testing with large-scale equipment.
She has also volunteered in writing and editing more than two dozen standards for the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), where she serves on the executive development board.
“It is a great honor to be nominated as ‘Engineer of the Year’ and ‘Innovator of the Year’ at the national Empowering Women in Industry event. Empowering Women is an organization whose mission is to connect, educate, and empower women who not only inspire the next generation of leaders, but also provide a community for those who are already leading,” Tiffany shared.
She also dedicates time to inspiring new generations, coaching robotics teams and bringing STEM activities to local schools, turning science into fun experiences for students.
At Prolec, we are proud to have energizers who inspire and leave their mark both inside and outside the organization. The awards ceremony will take place in October during the Empowering Women in Industry Conference.
