Passion, talent and impact at Tiger Tank 2025

Pasión, talento e impacto en el Tiger Tank 2025

For the second consecutive year, Fundación Xignux participated as a main partner in this initiative that promotes innovation and university entrepreneurship.

With enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit, the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) launched the seventh edition of Tiger Tank 2025, a platform that promotes innovative, high-impact projects aligned with at least one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UN).

The kickoff event was held on Wednesday, July 2, at the UANL’s Entrepreneurship and Business Development Hub, officially marking the start of the process for the nine finalist teams, made up of students, teachers, researchers, and administrative staff from various high schools and faculties. Each proposal seeks to generate a positive social, economic, and environmental impact.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent figures from the academic, business, and social spheres. Representing the Xignux Foundation were: Marcela Garza Herrera, president of the Xignux Foundation; Ana Cecilia Herrera, social responsibility manager and director of the Xignux Foundation; and Dalila Núñez, head of the Xignux Foundation.

Representing the Autonomous University of Nuevo León were: Diego Hernández, director of the UANL Foundation, A.C.; and Francisco Jesús Barrera, director of Entrepreneurship and Business Development at UANL, as well as executives, professors, and entrepreneurs from the various participating schools.

As part of this alliance, Xignux is participating for the second consecutive year in the Tiger Tank through the special category “Xignux Challenge,” a challenge focused on recognizing and promoting high-potential projects that seek to foster purposeful entrepreneurship, promoting sustainable and innovative solutions that contribute to social, environmental, and economic well-being.

In his message, Francisco Jesús Barrera emphasized the importance of young talent and its role as agents of change: “Mexico needs you, young people committed to social welfare. May you become successful entrepreneurs tomorrow, here in Mexico and, why not, also around the world.”

For her part, Marcela Garza Herrera, president of the Xignux Foundation, delivered an inspiring message to the finalist teams, in which she highlighted: “In each of you, we see the potential to transform not only your own lives, but also our communities and our country, which so badly needs your ideas and proposals for improvement.”

The opening day reaffirms Xignux’s commitment to sustainable development and the training of entrepreneurial leaders who provide real solutions to current challenges.

With this second participation as the main partner of Tiger Tank and the consolidation of the Xignux Challenge within the competition, Xignux continues to promote university talent and foster a culture of purposeful innovation.

Let’s energize projects and change realities.
