Xignux Foundation, in collaboration with Tecnológico de Monterrey, held a 24-hour challenge where students proposed solutions aligned with the 2030 Agenda to help build a more sustainable future.

The youth of Mexico brought their energy and talent to the seventh edition of the Xignux Challenge, where more than 1,100 students from various academic backgrounds, organized into 358 teams, presented innovative projects addressing today’s most pressing challenges. Of these, 35 projects reached the first stage of the final, showcasing a high level of creativity and commitment to the country’s future.

Eight teams advanced to the second stage of the final, and five were recognized for their impact and innovation. In this last phase, top projects were awarded in two categories: Discovery and Launch.

Here are the winners of the 2025 edition:

Discovery (Ideation):

  • 1st place: Zymetec – $100,000
  • 2nd place: Free Energy and Fenixia – $50,000 each

Launch (Prototype):

  • 1st place: Celunova – $500,000
  • 2nd place: AureoBos – $300,000

These prizes will be used to continue developing and implementing their ideas.

Throughout the challenge, students experienced enriching moments, including a presentation by Ana Lilia Fernández, Director of Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility, who introduced Xignux’s mission. Raúl García, Director of Innovation at Viakable, also delivered an inspiring talk on sustainable innovation.

Marcela Garza Herrera, President of Xignux Foundation, shared an uplifting welcome message, highlighting the power of teamwork, creativity and social purpose. She encouraged students to enjoy the process, believe in their ideas, and take full advantage of the opportunity to imagine and build innovative solutions that can create real impact.
