

The General Director of Viakable, Carlos Ramos, has been appointed Vice President of the Board of Directors of CANAME (National Chamber of Electrical Manufacturing), reaffirming our commitment to the development of Mexico’s electrical sector.
During the organization’s General Assembly, Ramos was officially named Vice President of the Board at CANAME. This is a key institution in the national electrical manufacturing industry, bringing together more than 120 companies manufacturing components for the national electrical sector.
The Assembly included the presentation of CANAME’s 2024 activity report, showcasing major milestones and achievements. It also marked the appointment of the new Board of Directors.
Aquiles López was named President for the 2025–2026 term, succeeding Salvador Portillo, who was recognized for his leadership in building strategic alliances and strengthening the chamber’s role in the sector.
The event was attended by officials from government institutions, including the Ministry of Energy and the Federal Electricity Commission, as well as other public officials and private sector representatives, among them leaders from the Mexican Business Council.
