We joined the Xignux challenge category in the sixth edition of the Tiger Tank competition, ‘Emprendiendo con Conocimiento,’ organized by UANL to support and strengthen university projects focused on the 2030 agenda.
Tiger Tank is a competition where students, professors, researchers, and administrative staff from UANL present high-impact ventures that address at least one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations.
In the sixth edition of this competition, the Xignux Foundation joined the alliance as the main sponsor with an additional category focused on nutrition and energy, with sub-themes such as health and wellness, zero hunger and climate action.
On June 10, we experienced an energizing day in which 16 teams, with a total of 70 participants from the university community, presented their projects before a jury of experts in innovation, technology and financial education, who evaluated the viability and functionality of each initiative to select the finalists, who will advance to the final round on September 24.
The jury included esteemed professionals from Xignux companies: Francisco Javier Cortés, Commercial Director at BYDSA; Ernesto Gerardo Guerra, Quality and TPS Manager at Qualtia; Mónica Martínez, Administration and Finance Director at BYDSA; and Arturo Guerra, New Business Development Manager at Corporativo.
The competition’s award includes an incubation process, providing each team with the tools and knowledge to successfully develop and present their projects at the final event. During this event, a committee of entrepreneurs will evaluate the best ideas and award $100,000 in seed capital to the winner.
At the Xignux Foundation, we value the importance of participating in initiatives like this that challenge the university community to develop innovative entrepreneurial projects with a strong focus on social impact and sustainability.
