The tournament showcases the empathy of young gamers and their willingness to contribute to the extraordinary work being done in our community. It also reflects their commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals\u2014Zero Hunger and Good Health and Well-Being.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This year, 34 students from Universidad de Monterrey, Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Nuevo Le\u00f3n, Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey, Universidad Tecmilenio, and Universidad UERRE competed in the student division.<\/p>\n<p>In the Energizer division, 72 participants from Viakable, Prolec, Qualtia, BYDSA, and Xignux Corporate Headquarters took part in the competition. All participants showcased their skills in Mario Kart.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament consisted of two phases. In the virtual qualifying round, held on November 12, 13, and 15, twelve finalists were selected (six students and six Energizers). In the final round, held on November 23, each finalist represented a nonprofit organization in a live, in-person competition.<strong>Winners of the Fourth \u201cGamer con Causa\u201d Tournament<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Student Category<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1st Place \u2013<\/strong> Mario Alexis Leal Renagel (UANL) &#8211; Awarded a MXN 100,000 donation to Comenzar de Nuevo A.C., an organization dedicated to the prevention, education, and treatment of eating disorders and other mental health challenges.<br \/>\n<strong>2nd Place \u2013<\/strong> Diego Anaya Hern\u00e1ndez (Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey) &#8211; Awarded a MXN 40,000 donation to Hogar Ortigosa A.B.P., which provides values-based comprehensive education for children and young people to help them become competent and socially responsible individuals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Energizer Category<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1st Place \u2013<\/strong> Glen Gilberto Bedoy Varela (BYDSA) &#8211; Awarded a MXN 100,000 donation to the Mexican Diabetes Association of Nuevo Le\u00f3n, which offers medical guidance and support to low-income individuals living with diabetes and their families.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2nd Place \u2013<\/strong> Dante Alejandro Reyna Cortez (Viakable) &#8211; Awarded a MXN 40,000 donation to Vida y Familia de Monterrey A.B.P. (VIFAC), an organization that provides comprehensive care and support for women, children, and adolescents in vulnerable situations.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond supporting civil society organizations, winners received a monetary award deposited into a digital wallet.<\/p>\n<p>Xignux and Fundaci\u00f3n Xignux reaffirm their commitment to social responsibility and to strengthening civil society organizations dedicated to community care.
