Monterrey, N.L., October 14, 2024.<\/b> \u2014 Xignux, a Mexican leader in the energy and food industries, announced the successful issuance of 7 billion pesos in debt certificates.<\/span>\n

The issuance closed on October 14 and was led by Scotiabank, Banorte and BBVA as placement agents. The issuance received an extraordinary oversubscription of 4.87x, reflecting the company\u2019s strong financial position. The transaction was structured in two tranches: the first for 6,250,000,000 pesos over a twelve-year term with a single repayment at maturity; and the second for 750,000,000 pesos over a three-and-a-half-year term.<\/span><\/p>\n

The proceeds will be used to refinance existing financial liabilities, ensuring no increase in overall debt levels, while substantially improving the company\u2019s debt maturity profile.<\/span><\/p>\n

Xignux, which generates 65% of its sales in the United States, emphasized that this operation will further strengthen its financial position, supported by growing energy generation demand in the U.S.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur approach remains responsible and cautious aiming for an appropriate balance between growth and risk control. With this issuance, Xignux returns to the Mexican debt market after 10 years with a 12-year transaction that allows us to improve our debt profile and diversify our funding sources,\u201d<\/span><\/i> said \u00c1ngel De Soto Hern\u00e1ndez, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at Xignux.<\/span><\/p>\n

Xignux highlighted that it holds AAA ratings from HR Ratings and Moody\u2019s.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
